Watch the streets of downtown McArthur come alive with food, music, and fun for the whole family during Vinton County’s 34th annual Wild Turkey Festival. The festival includes activities such as great nightly entertainment on the sound stage, carnival rides and games, a car show, a quilt show, and queen and baby contests.

This year’s music performers include:

Eastwood
Chris Keesey and the Band Keesey
Chip Allman and the Broken Barrel Band
Michelle Robinson Band
Wanted: The Bon Jovi Tribute Band
Vinton County High School Band

Other Events and Activities

A talent show is planned for Saturday afternoon. Specific details have yet to be announced.
The Grand Parade will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the crowning of the new Wild Turkey Festival Queen. Like always, the festival will feature numerous food vendors, games, raffles, contests, and other booths. Grilled turkey legs will be back! Turkey drops are planned for each night in front of the stage.

The festival will open on May 3, the first Thursday evening in May, and runs through Sunday afternoon, May 6.
