Watch the streets of downtown McArthur come alive with food, music, and fun for the whole family during Vinton County’s 33rd annual Wild Turkey Festival. The festival includes activities such as great nightly entertainment on the sound stage, carnival rides and games, a car show, a quilt show, and queen and baby contests.

Thursday, May 4
5 p.m. — Opening Ceremony, featuring 2016 queen’s court/boys basketball and cheerleaders
6-8 p.m. — Opening Act, VCHS Band

Other Events and Activities

A talent show is planned for Saturday afternoon. Specific details have yet to be announced.
The Grand Parade will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the crowning of the new Wild Turkey Festival Queen. The Ohio Historical Society make a presentation. Like always, the festival will feature numerous food vendors, games, raffles, contests, and other booths. Grilled turkey legs will be back! Turkey drops are planned for each night in front of the stage.

The festival will open on May 4, the first Thursday evening in May, and runs through Sunday afternoon, May 7.
