Join Moonville Rail Trail Historian Rich Dahn on a guided tour through the ghost town of Moonville and its haunted tunnel. Learn about its history and legends!
Who: You and your family
When: Sunday, September 26th
Where: The Moonville tunnel parking lot
Meeting time: 12:00, noon
What are we doing?: We will take a hike on the newly opened Moonville Rail Trail discussing
everything Moonville and its history. We will visit the cemetery, explore where the people lived
and worked and visit the Moonville Tunnel, among the most recent additions to the National
Registry of Historic Places. We will review some of the tragedies in and around the tunnel and
you never know when you might meet someone who still lives there!
Physical Requirements: We will be hiking primarily on flat, trail grade ground, except for a visit to
the cemetery. The total distance will be approximately 1-2 miles. Bring your own food and
water. Anticipated length of the tour is 1-2 hours.
Costs: Donations only, all proceeds going to the Moonville Rail Trail Association.
